In this special edition of MAJR News, we wanted to highlight content beyond the paywall to tell readers about a small but growing project in the web3 gaming space, Crypto Raiders. Blockchain enabled games that leverage incentives schemes and digital assets allow players to earn tokens by playing the game, this is called “play-to-earn” (P2E). P2E crypto projects are becoming very popular, which makes sense given massive $200 billion global video game market.

What is Crypto Raiders?
Crypto Raiders is a nostalgic pixelated role-playing game leveraging blockchain and NFTs. Inspiration for Crypto Raiders came from popular online games such as Zed.Run, RuneScape and World of Warcraft. Crypto Raiders is a utility-based RNG (Random Number Generated) game built on the Polygon network.
Unique Burning Feature
Why does Crypto Raiders stand out in comparison to other blockchain gaming projects? In the future, the players will have the choice to take part in perma-death dungeons. Raiders that overcome such challenges will be rewarded with special loot; however, a Raider’s death in these dungeons is permanent. The NFT will no longer be available to use in the game and will be removed from the circulation of Crypto Raiders. Enter these dungeons at your own risk.

Token Distribution:
Current Raider Supply: 37k
Gen 1: 7.5k
Gen 2: 7.5k
Gen 3: 7.9k
Gen 4: 14.1k
There eventually will be ten generations of Raider characters.
Character Types:
Crypto Raiders do not have rarity traits, which is different from other popular NFTs; however, the character’s race provides an additional layer of scarcity to each character’s token.
There are 8 distinct races.
Human (Most common)
Blue Elf
White Elf
Orc
Fairy
Cyborg
Skeleton
Dark Elf (Rarest)
The rarity of race does not alter performance in the game. In other words, a Human can have equal skills to a Dark Elf. However, the character’s generation does affect Crypto Raiders gameplay. Earlier generation Raiders generate a higher percentage of $AURUM (the in-game-token).
The team has enlightened the community that there won't be $AURUM boosts after generation six characters. Characters can be equipped with gear to enhance their in-game performance. In hindsight, the earlier generation Raiders hold more value.
MOBS:
MOBS are player owned monsters that exist in dungeons. As of now, they are not controllable, but have the ability to kill other players. When other users are defeated by a MOB, the owner of that MOB receives some of the dead raider’s loot.

Dueling and Esports
Crypto Raiders is betting on the importance of Esports and duel tournaments in the near future. Dueling is currently functional; however, only against AI controlled Raiders. Beginning in Q1 of 2022, the Crypto Raiders team has plans to release a season one arena pass, which would allow players to compete in duel seasons and tournaments for $AURUM and other prizes. Raiders can currently participate in daily duels tournaments for over 10,000 $AURUM and increase their position in the monthly competition.
Team and Community
One word to describe the team surrounding Crypto Raiders is dedicated. Unlike most projects, the team does a surreal job of minimizing unrealistic promises yet maximizing their deliverance. They are frequently adding new features to the game and creating weekly newsletters to keep the community informed.
The development team makes community communication a priority in Crypto Raiders Discord server; always available to chat or answer any questions. They’ve made it clear that their ultimate goal is to build a top NFT game with strong community participation versus profiting from their token.
Community is a driving force for NFT projects, especially Crypto Raiders. The community currently consists of individuals located all over the globe. Some streamers, writers, content creators and even an NFL player. One main factor that sticks out among all blockchain gaming projects is the large percentage of players holding and not flipping their NFTs.
